View Poll Results: Do you support same sex marriages?
I look at it, people are who they are whether we love the opposite sex or whether we love someone of the same sex, it shouldn't matter what a persons preferance is, they should be able to marry who they love.. I do not understand what the problem in it is because banning same sex marriages is not going to make them straight, they will still be together regardless of what people think, and regardless of how much people try to stop it.. So I say let them live their lives the way they want, and quit being predjudice towards them regardless of their sexual preferance......
I agree with what everyone has said. Obviously it should be about love, respect, commitment and mutual aspirations. However, what makes me mad is that the only reason it is not allowed is because of the personal beliefs of those who have the power to make it happen. Whether it be because of a religious belief or a personal belief... personal beliefs should never factor into law making, it is wrong and hypocritical.
If you are lucky enough to find a love where you wish to spenc the rest of your life with someone and make that committment, who cares what sex you are... that happens to be the least important factor of a happy and successful union.
